The 2027 Modern Atlanta Dance (MAD) Festival

Festival participants are selected by a three person panel of dance professionals, all of whom reside outside of the state of Georgia.

Participation in the Festival is offered to companies and artists free of charge. There is no application fee and no participation fee. Full Radius Dance conducts fundraising throughout the year in order to be able to produce the festival and provide performance fees to the participating companies. Festival participants are expected to engage fully in festival marketing, community, and audience engagement activities.

Festival participants agree to perform selected audience engagement, marketing and fundraising activities using the guidelines and schedule provided by festival personnel.

Artists or companies who are based in Georgia are eligible to apply for the festival. Please note you may be asked for proof of residency.

Works must be appropriate for all ages, and must be choreographed and performed at a professional level.

Only one work per artist or company should be submitted for adjudication.

Works or excerpts of works must be under 15 minutes in length.

A supporting video is required and it is strongly recommended that it be part of your proposed work and if possible, with actual cast. Supporting video should be no longer than 5 minutes.

All fields and video are required; incomplete applications will not be considered.

If possible, please provide a video which is a clean run of your work, shot against a neutral and uncluttered background, is not shaky, and is a flat front view containing the entire performance area.

In the interest of equity, panelists are instructed not to view more than five minutes of video per application.
