Douglas Scott
Founder & Artistic Director

Earning a B.F.A. in Performing Arts at Western Kentucky University, Douglas Scott moved to Atlanta after graduation to spend several seasons with the Ruth Mitchell Dance Company where he performed works by Ruth Mitchell, Ron Cunningham, Monica Levy, and Sal Aiello. In 1991, Douglas founded Dance Force, Inc. and co-founded E=Motion, with Ardath Prendergast, in 1995. In 1998, the companies merged to form Full Radius Dance. 

Douglas is also the founder of the Modern Atlanta Dance (MAD) Festival which showcases the best modern and contemporary dance companies and artists in the southeast. The festival has been produced annually since 1995 to critical and popular acclaim.

As the primary choreographic voice for Full Radius Dance, Douglas has created numerous dance works that have been premiered by the company.

His work Tapestry (2018) was celebrated as a masterpiece by ArtsAtl and was filmed for inclusion in the Jerome Robbins Dance Division of the New York Public Library.

In 2014, Douglas was honored with a Governor’s Award for the Arts & Humanities. Presented by the Office of the Governor in partnership with Georgia Council for the Arts and the Georgia Humanities Council, the Governor’s Awards pay tribute to the most distinguished citizens and organizations that have demonstrated a lifetime commitment to work in the arts and humanities in Georgia. Douglas was cited as “a respected leader” and for expanding “the definition and reach of modern dance.”

In 2023, Douglas received the Dance/USA's Champion Award, honoring his achievements, leadership, and support in significantly advanced dance in the local community. 

A respected teacher for over thirty years, Douglas Scott has extensive experience in teaching classes and workshops in modern and modern-based physically integrated dance for numerous schools, organizations, and conferences.

AK Bayer

AK, a nonbinary individual, has pale skin and brown hair that extends just beyond their shoulders. They are wearing a white shirt and smile softly.

AK Bayer is an interdisciplinary artist, professional dancer, writer, and emerging choreographer from Atlanta, GA. After falling in love with creative expression and performance at a young age, AK began training at Atlanta Dance before continuing with Decatur School of Ballet and Decatur City Dance. Living with dysautonomia and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, a systemic genetic disorder, AK navigates the intricacies of dancing with a dynamic disability. A visual artist as well, AK focuses on mixed media work and illustration. They have been creating art their entire life and love exploring identity through new mediums. AK is passionate about each of their creative pursuits but credits dance as their first love and the driving force behind their other crafts. AK is in their fourth season as company member with Full Radius Dance and has also had the honor of freelancing with renowned choreographers such as Leo Briggs, Bautanz Here,                               Patton White, Meaghan Novoa, and Dani Tirrell.

Delarence L. Hawkins

Delaronce is a African American malewith a low haircut and a beard. Delaronce is wearing a black chevron button down  and has an enthusiastic smile.Delaronce L. Hawkins holds a B.F.A in Dance from the School of Visual and Performing Arts at The University of Southern Mississippi. As a freelance performer/choreographer. Hawkins has performed in and choreographed for numerous festivals/concerts in the U.S. His creative research is highly collaborative in music, mixed media, human interactions and audience perspective in current events throughout society. Most recent choreographic works include “Eleven, Twelve, thirteen” (OYT studios), "Around the Melody" (Men's Movement), "Pulchritude" (Senior Work), and "Club 96" - performed and restaged on Jubilee Performing Arts Conservatory students in July 2024. Hawkins approaches movement creation, performance and teaching, from an expressive, yet anatomically sound perspective, informed by his study of “body and sound development using movemnt”. Hawkins also relates his choreographic work with evidence within the dance community and social concepts.

Hiroko Kelly

Hiroko Kelly (she/her) is a biracial woman from the Deep South, with a desire to create art that represents hybridity, fluidity of life, and how these can nuance identity. She translates these values into her work as an emerging choreographer, moving artist, researcher, mixed-media sculptor, and an arts administrator.

In 2017, Hiroko received her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from Kennesaw State University (KSU), with a concentration in Ballet. From 2014-2023, she was a moving artist and an artistic associate with glo. Now, as a freelance artist, she has the privilege to work with companies like Full Radius Dance, Novoa Dances, Catching Mangoes Dance, Bautanzt Here, and Burning Bones Physical Theatre that foster inclusive environments, highlighting and uplifting hybrid identities.

To further develop her social activist skills, she completed her Master of Arts in Urban and Public Affairs from the University of San Francisco in 2023. She was a 2024 Dance USA Institute for Leadership Training Mentee and a 2024 Dance Canvas-Atlanta Contemporary summer resident artist. Also, in 2024 she completed Atlanta Regional Commission’s Culture and Community Design course. She continuously commits herself to decolonizing movement practices, believing that art is our greatest catalyst for social change. She is excited to join Full Radius Dance for this 2025-2026 season!

Madeline O'Brien

Madeline is a white woman with brown hair. She wears hoops and a silver necklace. She smiles softly with her head tilted to the right. Madeline O’Brien (she/her) is an interdisciplinary dancer and artist living in Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2022 with a BFA in contemporary dance and a minor in arts entrepreneurship. Raised in Boston, she attended the city's only public high school for the arts. Her experience as the recipient of free arts education highlighted the importance of equity in the arts and she hopes to be a leader in making dance more accessible to all people and communities. She pursues this work through her teaching in assisted living homes and Decatur and Atlanta public schools. She is grateful to be a part of Atlanta’s flourishing dance community and is thrilled to be joining Full Radius for their 35th season.

Since moving to Atlanta a year ago, Madeline has had the pleasure of presenting work as a Meli Kaye Artist-in-Residence through the Decatur School of Ballet, in the Fall for Fall Festival, and as part of DanceATL’s Constructing Dance showcase. Additionally, she contributed to the Full Radius Dance curriculum as a pedagogy and education intern. As an artist, she deeply values experimentation and curiosity. Her work seeks to reflect the storytelling and revelation that comes with a profound understanding of ourselves and others. In her free time, you can find her reading a good book, dancing for joy, or sipping an iced chai.

Cecilia Rodriguez

Not pictured is her insulin pump.Cecilia Rodriguez (she/her) is a disabled dancer and choreographer from Dalton, Georgia. She moved to Atlanta as a student at Agnes Scott College where she studied Dance and Mathematics and ultimately earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance. She is in her third season performing as a company member with Full Radius Dance. Prior to joining the company, Cecilia served as an understudy and intern for Full Radius Dance. As a dancer and choreographer living with disabilities, she explores the concepts of equity and inclusion in the arts, specifically searching for answers around what art is and who gets to participate in dance-making and dancing. Recently, Rodriguez performed in the Atlanta debut of Loom Lab’s “Old Growth” where she acted as a dancer and puppeteer. Cecilia had the pleasure of returning to Agnes Scott College as a guest choreographer to restage her work “In Tandem” which explores the burden of living as a disabled individual. She premiered the site-specific work, originally titled “Tethered,” during her artist residency with Dance Canvas and Atlanta Contemporary. Rodriguez presented multiple works in college as a member of Studio Dance Theatre in repertory concerts, the Agnes Scott College Spring Annual Research conferences, and the 2023 American College Dance Association Conference. Cecilia has performed works by choreographers including Douglas Scott, Meg Brooker, Re Edahl, Rebecca Gose, Bridget Roosa, and Kerry Lee. Notably, Rodriguez performed in a restaging of Doris Humphrey’s 1928 work “Water Study”.

Lisa "Hollywood" Rozier

Lisa "Hollywood" Rozier was born in Atlanta Georgia. Her enthusiasm for performing arts started when she was only three years old and dancing was her first passion. As she developed her gift, she took interest in other types of dance, including African Lyrical, Jazz, Mime, B-Boy and Hip Hop, and began to use it as means to express herself.  Hollywood was inspired by a variety of dance genres, including African Lyrical, Jazz, Mime, B-Boy and Hip Hop. She soon began to use it as means to express herself. In 2017, she had the pleasure of joining the cast of Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre Company - "Holler if Ya Hear Me". One performance after another and she found her niche: highlighting the definition of music with unorthodox, surprising and expressive movements.

In 2018 Hollywood was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis - a chronic auto-immune disease that attacks the central nervous system. Despite the daily challenges that come with MS , she pursues her passions as a way to release. Throughout her journey, she continues to sharpen her production skills from performing, teaching choreography, and directing. Getting creative with her craft, she devotes her gifts to schools and programs across Georgia teaching inner-city youth the art of expression through movement.

Matthew Smith

Matthew is a 40 year old white male with shoulder length brown hair, brown eyes and closely shaved beard and brown eyes. He is wearing a red shirt.

Matthew is a Georgia native, born and raised in Atlanta. He developed a passion for sports at a young age with baseball at 8 years old and continuing until age 18. He also played soccer, track and field, handball, basketball, riflery, tennis, and sled hockey. In 2002 he joined the Shepherd Rifle team and traveled around the country competing in the NRA Beeman Grand Prix, winning National Team Championships in 2004 and 2007, and was ranked 3rd individually in 2007. He has an active career in the entertainment industry as background extra on films and TV shows including National Lampoon's Vacation (2015), Diary of a Wimpy Kid 4 (2017), Sleepy Hollow (2017), and 5th Wave (2016).

His passion for athletics and performance led him to Full Radius Dance, joining in 2017 as an apprentice. With his commitment and enthusiasm for Full Radius Dance, he was honored to return as a full company member in 2019. After spending most of his life in athletics, Matthew is excited to turn his abilities towards the arts.

Trinity Stevens

Trinity Stevens is a dancer/movement artist from northeast Ohio, who received an Associate of Arts from Kent State University and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts from Cleveland State University. At CSU, Stevens completed the coursework for the Dance in Community major, Theatre Studies minor, and Arts Management certificate, while participating in the CSU Dance Company. As a queer and neurodiverse person, Stevens hopes to gather experiences that will help them inform the development of more healthy and inclusive dance spaces. They have been a dancer with Seiche Dance Collective, The Dancing Wheels Company, and MoJo Co.Lab. Having previously served as the access intern for Full Radius Dance, Stevens is very excited to join the company for the 35th anniversary season!
